Plastimix DC-25

PLASTICIZING ADMIXTURE FOR DRY-CAST CONCRETE PRODUCTS

DESCRIPTION:

Plastimix DC-25 is a ready to use aqueous solution designed to improve the production speed and finished appearance of zero slump, dry-cast or packer-head concrete products by imparting a plasticizing effect on the cement paste fraction of the concrete matrix during the manufacturing process.

USES:

Plastimix DC-25 is recommended for dry cast concrete products manufacturing processes for production of items including, but not limited to, pipe, manholes, utility boxes and box culverts.  The plasticizing effect of Plastimix DC-25 speeds production, reduces machine wear and improves finished product appearance.

COMPATIBILITY:

Plastimix DC-25 is compatible with all types of Portland cement, class C and F fly ash, slag, silica fume, fibers, Pro Mix air entraining admixtures, water reducers and retarders.

DOSAGE RATE:

Plastimix DC-25 is recommended for use at a dosage rate of 2 to 6 fluid ounces per 100 pounds (130 to 390 ml per 100 kg) of cement. 

TECHNICAL NOTE:

Plastimix DC-25 does not contain any purposely-added calcium chloride or other chloride based components.  It will not promote or contribute to corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete.

Plastimix DC-25 is not recommended for the manufacture of wet-cast or higher slump concrete products.

COMPATIBILITY:

Plastimix DC-25 is compatible with all types of Portland cement, class C and F fly ash, GGBF (slag), silica fume, and approved air-entraining, water reducing, retarding and accelerating Pro Mix admixtures. For best results, each admixture must be dispensed separately into the concrete mix.

STORAGE:

Plastimix DC-25 may freeze at temperatures below 35 F (2 C) and precautions should be taken to protect it from freezing

55-gallon drums and bulk deliveries.
